How we explain a case

A useful guide should tell you what to do next and why that step follows from the information available.

Rules, examples and deductions

Role rules are tied to their applicable version. Worked examples are original illustrations with their assumptions stated. A deduction follows from those assumptions; it does not independently establish whether a game clue is true.

Versions matter

Demo and full-game information are kept distinct. Earlier screenshots are labeled as earlier builds, and are used for visible interface context rather than to prove unchanged rules or values.

Articles link to the material used to explain their factual rules. Community references are identified as community material. This site does not present somebody else's playthrough as its own test.

What the guide cannot decide

The calculator can find matching number sets, but it cannot detect a lie, certify a suspect or make an arrest decision. When several possibilities fit, the guide shows the ambiguity instead of assigning invented probabilities.
